ANNKE 2.5K Wireless Security Camera Outdoor, 2-Cam Home Solar Camera System

I am extremely impressed with this camera system! The picture quality is excellent, and the long-range wireless connection has been reliable and works exceptionally well. Setup was quick and easy, even without a lot of technical experience.

One of my favorite features is the pan-and-tilt capability, which gives you a great range of coverage and makes it easy to see exactly what you need. I was especially impressed with the nighttime clarity—the picture is remarkably clear, even in low-light and dark conditions.

Overall, this system has exceeded my expectations. The combination of excellent picture quality, strong wireless range, easy setup, pan-and-tilt functionality, and outstanding night vision makes it a great value. I would highly recommend this camera system to any homeowner or small business looking for a dependable and easy-to-use security system. I am very happy with my purchase!

As a farmer, I purchased this security package to cover inside a calving barn. I was looking forward to the PTZ cameras for better visibility in the barn. The range of the cameras did not work for that application. I decided to keep them to monitor the farm yard. The camera range is approximately 120 feet with the base setting in a window of the house with a direct line of sight to the cameras. The solar panels are very effective, no problem keeping cameras charged even without southern exposure. The pivot and tilt is smooth and allows full coverage of my farm yard with fewer cameras then I would need with fixed cameras. The zoom is digital not optical but gives good detail. I will have to post an update as to how these features work in a north Iowa winter. The pictures are clear and sharp with night vision having good range. Setup was quick and easy, truly plug and play. Even though it did not have the range I hoped for I still gave a 5 star for it's performance within range.

These absolutely will not record 24/7. Annke support has told me they will not record continuously if on solar power, and will not record continuously if the battery is below 50%

I've tried different settings, both solar and plug-in power, I've tried with the cameras far away from the base and right next to it. Some of the cameras would start recording 24/7, then intermittently recording, then record only on motion, then finally recording nothing. Some of them just never even start recording anything out of the box.

For example one camera is plugged into the wall with a constant 5v 3a (15w) power supply, it's inside where it's 65f-70f, and 10 feet from the base. It constantly shows 49% power, I've turned it off to let it charge for multiple days, but it still always shows 49%. I've tried it with the solar panel and same thing, always 49% battery. It never records anything despite being set to constant recording.

I've contacted Annke and they seem unable to understand or assist with my issue.

Pros: Installation is very easy. Picture is very good. Night vision is good. Tilt/Pan is responsive. Keeps the battery fully charged with the solar panel mostly in shade. The response to motion is adequate on the most sensitive setting. The WiFi range is good.

Cons: Siren alarm on the base station. You can turn it off, but you can't change it. The station will usually alarm to motion in under a minute. However, the app notification on your phone routinely takes longer. So its not practical as a doorbell. To add additional cameras later see (B0F1FKHS12). Note: The cameras (after reset) will also pair directly with the phone app and then the notification is generally 15sec-1min. But each needs its own memory to record this way.

It says no subscription......it eventually does imply that is the best option. I haven't gone down that road. The cameras are decent and if always connected to wifi they will give you a good picture of what is happening. Its funny that my "event" will ping and go off 6/7 times on windy day because of the shadows on the ground. But when people come ring the door bell.... there is NO "event".

They're cheap and mostly gimmicks. 2 stars might be a little better rating then deserved.

The house we moved into 5 years ago was pre-wired for cameras. I did some research and chose an Annke wired 8 camera system. It still works great and I love the ability to see what is going on around the house either at night or when on a trip. The only downside was that the fixed wired locations left a few gaps in coverage around the house. I did not want to try to run new wires so I decided to try a wireless setup.

In the five years I have had the original system, the only problem I had was one of the cameras began resetting often. Turns out one of the non-Annke aftermarket power supplies I used was going bad. I reached out to the Annke tech support and within a day they replied with suggestions that helped me quickly zero in on the fix. They even took the time to include sketches to help. They followed up a few days later to make sure everything was working ok. Based on this experience, I decided to go with Annke again and buy this 2 camera wireless setup.

The Annke Sight app and the voice prompts on the unit walk you through getting the base unit linked to your home router and getting the cameras wirelessly link to the base unit. The base unit can either be wired directly to the router or connected via WiFi. As Murphy’s law would have it, the two areas that I wanted to get better coverage are on opposite ends of the house (90' apart). I assumed that the distance between the cameras would mean that I would have to find a location for the base unit somewhere in the middle. Turns out I have the base unit on one end of the house and it has no issue connecting to both cameras and the router. It literally took me more time to figure out where I wanted to put the cameras than it did to get the system working. I got the base unit and cameras up and running in less than 20 minutes.

Once I figured out where to put the cameras, the installation was a breeze. The kit comes with templates for the camera and solar panel mounts. 10 minutes later for each camera and I was up and running. The Annke Sight App works great and allows easy control of the cameras. There are many settings for things like motion detection sensitivity, a flashing light that can be turned on or off when motion is detected, and schedules for when the motion detection is active. The view from the cameras is amazing….even at night. I would highly recommend their systems.

Reliable, Sharp, and Truly Low-Maintenance

I’ve had this ANNKE 2K wireless kit running for about two weeks and it’s been excellent. Setup was quick, and the solar panels keep the cameras fully charged—even with partial sun. Video is crisp in the daytime, and the color night vision is a big step up from traditional infrared.

The PIR human detection is accurate; it triggers on people but mostly ignores pets and cars. Alerts hit my phone within seconds. The 360° pan/tilt works smoothly, giving wide coverage with fewer blind spots. I tested through heavy rain and humid weather—no leaks or fogging.

Wifi connectivity could also be improved a little for someone like me that lives on acreage. I have a long drive way about 175 ft. So to have a camera down at the entrance is a bit challenging for the wifi signal. Just might have to go with a wifi extender or a 4g LTE camera. Which means a yearly or monthly subscription= 👎🏻

The included 64GB card means no subscription fees, though the app could load past recordings a little faster.

Overall, this system delivers solid field performance and is a great choice if you want dependable, maintenance-free outdoor security.

I absolutely love this product! Very well packaged. Setup was extremely easy; download Annke Sight app, plug-in base station and the app pretty much does the rest! Installing the system is super simple; 2 screws for the camera mount and 3 for the solar panel. Total installation time is about 20 minutes (10 per camera). I opted to use WiFi instead of an ethernet connection. I love how they placed the solar panel connection point on the bottom of the camera and have a super snug silicon cover to prevent any water from getting in. I was also extremely impressed with the distance the camera can be placed from the router and still receive a signal. My backyard camera is at the rear corner of my 3000 sqft house and my router is located near the front of the house in my laundry room (not an ideal location, but that's where the builder ran the line). Viewing options include standard and high definition and IR. The color camera also comes with a feature to turn on the LEDs if needed at night. The sensing can be adjusted based on the amount of traffic and panning is super easy. Highly recommend this product!
