This cleanser works on removing make up.
It is a good cleanser for daily face cleansing.
Gentle, without leaving face feeling dry or irritating.
Easy to use.
Effective on what it does.
However, it is a cleanser.
It truly doesn't worth this high price point.
Bioeffect has yet to put out a product that disappoints me. I've tried some of their serums and several of their creams. I really appreciate that their products have short ingredient lists that are function focused and don't include common irritants or added fragrance.
This micellar cleansing water is no exception! It has no alcohol, astringents, essential oils, fragrance, ferments or ickies. So it's very gentle while also effective at cleansing. It's not greasy, it just leaves your skin feeling clean and hydrated. I don't feel like I need to wash it off or follow up with another cleanser unless I want to do a super thorough cleanse.
It's perfect for the morning when I want to prep my skin for my other products, but don't want to strip my skin by a full face wash. It's also great as a gentle first cleanse before following with a water based cleanser if I want to make sure I've removed waterproof sunscreen or makeup effectively. The power goes out occasionally where I live so it's nice having a non rinse product to use when I need to cleanse my face ahha. I suppose you could take it camping but it's kind of luxe so maybe not worth dragging along in case it breaks!
It comes in a nice glass bottle and 200ml is pretty generous. I don't use it daily so it's going to last me awhile. That plus the minimal formulation + solid performance makes the $75 cost definitely more worth it.
I don't usually buy high-end skin products because I am pretty picky about things like fragrance, skin feel, etc., so I worry that I will be wasting my money. I recently tried a hydrating skin cream from Bioeffect, and I was really impressed with the hydration level and with the lack of fragrance in that product. So I thought I would take a leap of faith and give this one a go, as it is from the same company. I am really glad that I did. I will admit that I am pretty bad about regularly using a facial cleanser. I wash my face in the morning, but I am terrible about remembering to do it at night, in large part because it tends to be a very involved process. I don't like the feeling of goopy cleansers, and I hate the rinsing off process afterwards, which splashes water everywhere right before bed. This cleansing water solves my issues completely. There is no creamy goopy feel, as this is water based. You just moisten a cotton ball or cotton pad with the cleanser, rub it on your face to clean, and then walk away. No rinsing, no mess, no goopy feeling. It reminds me of a toner, but it has no alcohol or astringent in it, so it is a gentle process with no sting or afterburn. It has zero fragrance, which I really appreciate, as fragrance can trigger headaches for me. I don't wear makeup, so I can't speak to how well it removes makeup, but the cotton swab definitely showed signs of having removed the "grime" of the day from my skin, which was impressive. And it air dries almost immediately, with no lingering stickiness or feel at all. I felt refreshed, clean, and hydrated. It is the perfect prep for your skin for any night cream you might want to put on, particularly as you don't have to wait after use. It really is super easy to use and makes my nighttime routine quick and simple. It is presented nicely in a substantial and luxe-looking glass bottle, and it is a nice large amount for the price, so even though it is not inexpensive, I feel it is a great value for the money, given the size and quality of the product. My skin definitely does feel softer and more hydrated. I definitely would recommend it. It feels like a luxurious at-home spa treatment for your face.
The BIOEFFECT micellar cleansing water is a luxury solution made with Icelandic water to help remove makeup and impurities. This cleansing water is fragrance free, which I appreciate. I have never used a cleansing water so this one is the first for me. I don’t think I care for it. I think this cleansing water leaves your skin tacky afterwards. It honestly makes me want to wash my face with an actual cleanser. It doesn’t seem to dry my skin out, which I like. This cleansing water does come in a 200 ML bottle, but it does come with a pretty hefty price tag. I cannot recommend this. I would pass on this cleansing water.
Years ago, I used to love using micellar water but after I told my significant other about how the French love using it, he started using mine and after two bottles in a row were quickly drained, I gave up. It has been enough years that he has forgotten, so I was excited to try it again and I am so glad I did! The micellar water comes in a thin, heavy glass cylinder with a top that twists completely off. This is nice so that you don't have to worry about any leaking, like ones that have a simpler top. I love using micellar water before toner to remove the last of my makeup. I prefer using a cleansing oil or balm to remove the bulk of it (I wear a lot!) and then I use the micellar water to remove remnants (there is always some left behind!). I absolutely love how gentle and easy it is to use. I pour some on a cotton round and wipe on my face, especially on the outskirts along my hairline and it is so satisfying to find the last of it. On days I don't use makeup, I still use it along my hairline to get any oil and dirt. This works extremely well at removing makeup and dirt and I am so glad I gave micellar water another try. I remember reading the French use micellar water because they have hard water, and I live in a place with extremely hard water as well, so I always think of them when I use this. I will say that as much as I like this, there are definitely more affordable ones at the drugstore, but if you are able to afford luxury items, I have been very happy with Bioeffect and this is not the first Bioeffect item I have used. I love that they are plant based and plant friendly. People forget how important it is to take care of our earth and I appreciate the companies that do. I definitely recommend giving this a try!

Effective at removing my matte foundation, mascara, eyeshadow etc., however when I wiped it near my eyes it did feel a little tingly when it got in my eyes a bit. Overall it seems just as effective as other micellar water products I've tried from other companies.- including the popular cheap brands. So honestly doesn't seem as unique as their other offerings so the price listed versus the value of the product given doesn't seem as worth it. But maybe you care for Icelandic water part?
And as with the other micellar water brands I've tried, definitely need to follow up with another cleanser to get the little remaining bits. I see I'm their photo carousel on the listing they show their cleanser as step 2. Which is exactly what I use, that cleanser gets the rest left over.
I have tried quite a few micellar waters over the years, and none of them have been really different from the others. Although this is a lot pricier than other options - you can feel the diffence and it feels luxe.
It removes makeup and daily buildup effectively without leaving behind that sticky or filmy feeling that many other micellar waters do. My skin feels clean and refreshed, not tight or dried out. In my experience, this one stands out from the others I have tried.
