*Updated* Good product, company responds to reviews.

Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2026 · Color: Blue · Verified Purchase

*update* Shortly after posting a 1 star review about an ad on the camera, it was removed. The sock put as at ease when we brought our nicu baby home. Make sure it’s on right and it will work 99.9% of the time. I’d rather have the rare false alarms than the fear. The cameras do work good and we have two. We don’t use the sock anymore, but when we did- you could only use the sock with one camera which was kind of lame. It would be cool if they fixed that. Good product. Buy with confidence.

*old* The sock does a good job, and it works if you know how to put it on correctly. We bought an extra camera for the house so we have two. I would not recommend these cameras. Right after we bought them, the company released music playing on the camera which we’re not interested in. Unfortunately, until you buy music, there is an endless pop-up on the screen with the purple bubble you can see in my photo advertising it. It’s very annoying, blocks the view, and is a bone-headed bad decision. Do not buy these cameras.

    Owlett dream duo. Must have.

Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2026 · Color: Blue · Verified Purchase

The Owlet Duo was definitely worth the investment. The peace of mind at night knowing our baby is safe is something we couldn’t go without. Having the camera so everything is on one easy to navigate application is nice. The battery life on the “sock” is about 16 hours. Set it on the base station and it recharges during the day. We like being able to track the sleep, oxygen levels, pulse, room temperature/ humidity, and noise levels. The sock and base station have great range allowing use to leave room without false alarms. Knowing our baby is safe means the world to us and allows us to sleep peacefully. A plus was we were able to use our hsa/fsa to pay for this. We have had it for 2 months and recommend it to all our friends. Would make a great shower gift. This could save your baby’s, your family member’s, or a friend’s baby’s life. Cannot put a price on that.

Great product! Bought for my first son. The “sock” reads great and is a nice peace of mind. BE AWARE YOUR INTERNET MUST BE REALLY GOOD FOR CONNECTION ISSUES!!! We did have an issue with the camera after a month BUT customer support was great and got sent a new one.

Love this product! I sleep better having a multiple ways to monitor our little guy. Worth every penny & I very rarely get false readings. It also comes with multiple socks to adjust for size as baby grows! Connects to wifi easily (we have traveled with it quite a few times.

Gave Us an Alert When Our Son Needed Medical Attention

Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2026 · Color: Blue · Verified Purchase

    Lengthy but worth the read!

This monitor gave our family an incredible amount of peace of mind. When my son was only a month old, we received an alert in the middle of the night that his oxygen had dropped to 74%. We woke him up, could tell he was sick & immediately took him to the hospital. When the hospital checked his oxygen, their reading matched what the monitor had shown us. He ultimately spent two nights in the PICU being monitored.

I know some people have complained about false alarms or being woken up by connection issues. We experienced occasional alerts too, but after what happened with our son, I would personally rather be woken up by a false alarm than potentially miss something important.

We felt so much reassurance from the sock that our son wore it even longer than the recommended age range. My husband also works nights at times, so having the app & camera allowed him to check on our son while he was away, which was another feature we really appreciated.

Our experience with this monitor is something I will never forget & it gave both my husband & me tremendous peace of mind during those early months.

Absolute piece of trash for $400!!!

Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2026 · Color: Blue · Verified Purchase

If I could give it zero stars I would! FTM please don’t buy this product! It broke down in less than 5 months, and return window on Amazon is shorter than all the other baby items you get from the registry. The idea of this product sounds amazing and that’s what got me to buy it. It started out great, until my child started screaming and crying trying to take off the stupid sock at night. My baby is fine wearing stocks and shoes, so I didn’t understand what the problem was until I realized that something was poking on that sock causing discomfort. Alright, I thought, no sock for us, but we can still use the camera, right? Yeah, well that camera slowly started to lose WiFi connection and none of the trouble shooting advice they have listed helped. It also lags like crazy! Sometimes I would watch myself on the live feed doing things with my child and it’s been a minute since we left the room! So it never gave me accurate timing of my child’s movement, I would hear baby cry in the house before camera could notify me about it even with extra sensitive settings! It also drained my phone battery a lot trying to connect all the time. I had to force close the app at least 10 times a day and restart it to get something to work. One day the camera just disconnected completely on its own and that’s when I had enough of it. It’s so frustrating trying to get a good connection with this thing anyway. I thought ok, let me just get a replacement and return this item. Well… Amazon has a short return window for it (for some reason, idk why since it’s a baby item and all the other baby items have extended return windows through Amazon registry, even new camera set has 6 months return window, hmmm…). I was told to contact Owlet directly, which I did and they wanted nothing to do with their malfunctioning equipment. They sent me back to Amazon and we’ve closed the loop. So now I’m stuck with a $400 item that is piece of trash and can’t be returned/refunded. Replacement camera was only $80 and doesn’t require WiFi, doesn’t lag and has a separate parent console unit. Save your money ladies and get something that will actually work! I hope my experience helps others. I can tell I’m not the only person having issues since when I purchased this item it had 4.2 review score and now it’s 3.8, what a shock! :)

    Works great for us!

Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2026 · Color: Blue · Verified Purchase

If you’re outside the US: go to the app store, change your region to USA, download the app, set it all up, then go back the app store and select your normal region.

It was a bit time consuming to set up because the app is not available outside of north america, but once it’s all going, it’s worth every dollar. All the “false alarms” people complain about are most likely because the sock is misplaced. The camera is very helpful as well. We’re not overly anxious parents but I must admit this setup has made things heaps easier.

Great Device, Accurate. WiFi Requirement Annoying

Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2026 · Color: Blue · Verified Purchase

I like it because it does the job as advertised. I was even able to compare it to Hospital grade devices as unfortunately, my son was in the Nicu at the time of purchase. It displayed nearly identical readings as the Hospital devices however it did not refresh quite as quickly. For example, the hospital would update every second. This would update every 2 to 3 seconds so just a slight delay but perfectly fine for letting you know if there’s something wrong.

The downside is monitoring it from the app. You have to have it connected to Wi-Fi and that Wi-Fi network needs to be password protected or else you cannot use it. This makes it difficult to monitor while traveling. It is said that it will continue to monitor your baby, and alert if something goes wrong, but you cannot see the actual numbers. We did a work-around by connecting it to a phones Wi-Fi hotspot, but it was kind of more of a pain than anything. I’m not an expert, but I think it would be easy enough to just allow you to monitor it via Bluetooth.
