LAURA GELLER Baked Balance-n-Brighten Powder Foundation – Fair

Bought this powder foundation on prime day, I waited a longgggggggg time to finally get this and it did not disappoint. I’m 36 years old with aging skin. It comes for us all lol. Anyways I just wanted to try something new other than liquid foundation because I’M OVER IT. This powder feels and looks like my skin. I wore it all day today(worked out, walked outside, wrestled with toddlers) and I had no issues whatsoever. I wouldn’t say it covers everything little thing BUT it definitely evened my skin tone and redness and maybe blurred my pores. I love this powder! My makeup routine has gone through a complete 360 after I had my baby. Keep it simple and make it quick is now my life lol I also bought the Laura Geller glowing powder foundation and I like that one too. Although I haven’t tested it out like I did with the balance n brighten today I’m still very much impressed. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the price. I’m a drugstore girlie but I’ll splurge every now and then, especially when it’s on sale.

I get tan in the summer and pale in the winter, so I chose the Light shade and it matches perfectly.

This is my second purchase my first purchase lasted a year granted I don’t use it every day, but it does last a long time. Apparently, the color that I needed a color changed over this last year. I was using a fair and when I purchased it again lately, it was too fair so I ordered the medium, which is perfect even though I’m blonde in their skin it goes on so soft does not leave the powdery residue or look like powder on. It looks like a smooth creamy finish without the shine. It looks very natural. Even though it’s an excellent product to find it a little expensive and probably not ready available for some to be able to purchase it which is sad because it is a good product that could benefit from.im 65 with a lot of discoloration and it covers it well. Buy it you won’t regret it!

I'm almost 60/F, some wrinkles and a fair amount of discoloration, red spots, and sun damage, esp. on cheeks.

This foundation (baked balance and brighten, color FAIR) is really easy to use. Feels like nothing, even when building. I used only basic, soft, fluffy brushes I had on hand; they worked well for light coverage, but I do think a denser brush option - like a retracting kabuki, as recommended - might work better for building.

Very good coverage on bare skin (moisturizar only), pracrically perfect over an inexpensive primer. Almost all my flaws disappeared, even without concealer.

Did not settle in wrinkles, either. I FEEL PRET-TY, OH-SO PRET-TY!...or, at least, "not bad for an old broad, not at all!".

I do find that using primer is better over large pores and significant discoloration, such as have I. I used a budget brand with spf 30 and the foundation went on perfectly.

It's FAST, too. The longest part if the process is waiting for the primer to dry, maybe 1-3 minutes.

Found it difficult to shade match - but to be fair: When is it *not* difficult?

Would be a very nice thing if Laura Geller Beauty offered an inexpensive "sampler" (say, $5.00 for just enough product for 1/2 face in two adjacent shades) to help in this process.

I tried "PORCELAIN" first, but it was just a tad too light. The model wearing "FAIR" looks like an olive tone to me, whereas (I think?) I'm more peachy, like the "LIGHT" model - but I'm super pale...but ... but.. hem ..haw..

Seems really wasteful to open, use once and return a full product to try a color that isn't quite right, as I have. "Samplers" would really help reduce the volume of product returns, not to mention reduce waste and carbon footprints - just sayin'.

As a woman in her 50's, I was on the seemingly never ending search for a light, full coverage foundation that was easy to apply, set in seconds, and was just as easy to reapply if needed. I wasn't asking for much. Nothing cakey, long lasting, natural looking, feels like velvet, forgot I had applied anything for the weightlessness... You know, that miracle foundation that checked all the boxes. I may have just found it (after how many decades?). This foundation is all that and more. So easy to apply, non drying, and my "routine", such as it is, has been reduced to a couple of minutes; just what I've been wanting. Absolutely gorgeous. I fall into the "I don't want to have to do much" category when I'm applying makeup, and this foundation fits the bill. I don't think I could ask for anything more.

I purchased Laura Geller’s Baked Balance-n-Brighten Powder after hearing it was great for mature skin and women over 40. While it’s not exactly what I was looking for, there are definitely some things I like about it. It feels lightweight, goes on smoothly, and is perfect for everyday wear. It does help soften the appearance of imperfections without looking cakey, which I appreciate. However, I was hoping for a little more coverage, especially for some of the dark spots on my face. Overall, it’s a nice powder for a natural look, but if you’re looking for more coverage, this might not be enough on its own.

Fully expected this to be crap, to make my face feel crunchy, to look uneven/blotchy because I have super dry areas on my face. I've been searching for a new foundation for a while now, not happy with anything. Incredibly pleased to discover this product is actually quite good! It evened out my complexion, didn't gather into fine lines or dry spots, no smell, not itchy, and was so weightless and so natural looking, I had to remind myself to be sure and wash my face that evening. Its the no-makeup look but better, which I wouldn't have believed was possible, especially as an older person. I used a dense foundation brush I already had (back when I used liquid foundation) to apply and its perfect. The shade is perfect; color representation on the product page I found to be absolutely spot on. Compact is easy to open and product easy to apply. I just love this and plan to wear daily. 100% will buy again.

I've been a fan of Laura Geller products for some time and decided to try the Baked Balance-n-Brighten Powder Foundation after using the Baked Balance-N-Glow for quite a while. I'm glad I did!

While I liked the healthy glow that Balance-N-Glow provides, I felt I needed extra cove because the coverage is sheer. Balance-n-Brighten gives me better coverage and evens out the redness of my skin.

What I like is that it looks natural and not overdone, even after layering a little more in areas where I want extra coverage.

As someone who prefers quick and easy makeup, this saves me time, looks natural, and lasts throughout the day. I highly recommend giving Balance-n-Brighten a try.

Ok. Provides light coverage. Also extremely difficult getting any product on the accompanying Kabuki brush because I feel like it is so heavily pressed in the compact. I literally have to scratch the palette with my finger nails to see any product on the brush. Disappointed and won’t repurchase.
