This is the best of the expanding / shrinking hoses I've owned in six and a half years of home ownership. The first bought several years ago is still going strong while several other brands have lasted only a year or two.
I now have two of the 50' for the front yard and side yard. The smaller back yard has a 25' length.
The front yard uses a metal hose holder that goes in the ground, bought on Amazon. The side yard hose no easy place to put such a nice holder, so it has a small hard plastic holder that hangs from the bib (faucet pipe). The back yard has the bib about 12" off the ground, so I just loop the hose over that. In all cases, I shut off the water and then let the water spray out until the hose is empty. Plus, while coiling onto a holder or bib, the spray handle is off and I make sure the hose is being turned while being put away so it doesn't develop kinks, which lead to broken hoses!
I don't think this spray nozzle is my fave as it always has to have the handle squeeze messed with, in my case, I'm watering individual plants for half the lawn care. But it does work just fine and the two settings I use, shower and jet do the job.
A better and easier nozzle to use for spot spraying would have gotten five stars.
