I purchased this stand for my Lenovo ThinkPad P14s, and overall, I’m extremely satisfied with it. It’s sturdy, highly adjustable, and does exactly what I needed it to do.
The height and angle adjustments provide plenty of flexibility for positioning the laptop, and the 360-degree rotating base is particularly useful for my multi-monitor workstation. I can easily reposition the laptop without having to move the entire stand. The design also leaves most of the laptop’s underside unobstructed, allowing for good ventilation.
One thing worth mentioning that I didn’t see adequately addressed in other reviews is the slight bounce or flex when typing directly on the laptop’s keyboard. The stand remains stable, but there is some noticeable give under the pressure of typing, particularly when elevated. It’s not excessive, and I wouldn’t describe it as wobbling or instability, but it’s something to consider if you frequently use your laptop’s built-in keyboard rather than an external one.
Now for the real durability test: my cat.
I have a particularly curious, approximately 12-pound cat who considers my workstation his personal playground. He regularly investigates, rubs against, and generally tests the structural integrity of anything on my desk. This stand has handled his inspections remarkably well.
He can occasionally rotate the base a couple of clicks by rubbing his face against the laptop, but the stand itself remains secure. The padded retaining tabs hold the laptop firmly in place, and even with his enthusiastic interference, he hasn’t managed to dislodge it.
The adjustable angle also lets me position the laptop in a way that makes it considerably harder for him to walk across the keyboard, which was one of my original reasons for purchasing a stand.
Overall, this is an excellent laptop stand with solid construction, useful adjustments, and good stability. The slight flex while typing is the only meaningful drawback I’ve noticed. I’d rate it somewhere between four and five stars, but the positives easily outweigh that minor issue, so I’m rounding up.
And if you’re wondering whether it can survive a determined feline workstation inspector, so far, mine has passed with flying colors!
