Looks and feels great - a pleasant surprise!
I bought this for an hallway in our 1920s craftsman house. I wanted something that would match the walls and give a finished look. I was concerned it might be cheap looking, but quite the opposite. While it’s on the thin side, like most washable rugs, it feels very soft on bare feet and looks terrific. If you like a thicker rug, just get a rug pad to put under it. But if you want an inexpensive, decent looking runner, this one is great. It has rubber backing so it sticks to the floor even without a pad. I had low expectations and thought it would just be a temporary solution, but it was a pleasant surprise. It does come folded up, but I followed the directions and put it in the dryer for 10 minutes, and all of the fold creases came out. I’m now going to look at other rugs from this company for different areas in the house. As far as odor goes, I could not detect any, and I’m pretty sensitive to that. I like the fact that when it gets dirty, I can just throw it in the washing machine and then the dryer. Definitely a great option if you have pets or kids.
