Samsung 34' Odyssey G5 Ultra-Wide Gaming Monitor with 1000R Curved Screen

I bought this for my husband and he loves it. The quality of the monitor is great! The picture is great and crisp. It matches his color setup and he has zero issues with it. Definitely worth the money.

I use this as my second monitor and it works great. The ultrawide format earns its place next to a main display, and it has been trouble-free the whole time I have had it. If you're building out a multi-monitor setup, this is a definite must-have as far as I'm concerned.

I played cyberpunk 2077, everspace 2, Rust, valorant and several other games on this monitor and I didn't experience any of the ghosting that the other reviews complained about. I did a ghosting test online and it was negligible at best.

This monitor is the best I've ever had, I put an ergonomic monitor vesa mount to make this thing rotate and line up perfectly with my head to remove neck cramps from looking up too much. The monitor stand it came with was flimsy but not terrible, however I don't use it now that I have the vesa mount.

I've watched several movies on this with Plex and the auto aspect ratio is actually pretty decent which is surprising considering most movies have black bars to create the right ratio.

Playing games in this thing is very immersive. The refresh rate is great with 165hz, and little customizing is needed out of the box to get it just right. With a high end graphics card like from Nvideas RTX line, you can't go wrong. I'm using an Nvidiea RTX 2070 super and this thing looks great. I even use it with my Mac Pro 2013 model and it also looks great, and it auto changes the display correctly so Windows or Mac this thing looks great.

No more need for dual screens, just open two windows and put them side by side, its essentially the same thing, but now theres no plastic bar inbetween the two screens, just one seemless experience.

If you are looking for the best monitor screen, I think this is it so far, especially price wise. I know there are better monitors that exist with better specs or bigger sizes, but this is really all the retail space you'll ever need. I even find myself using it for movies, even though I have a 55 inch Samsung 4kHDTV which is surprising.

Don't believe the haters, just get it and return it if you don't like it, but I think this is definitely a solid product that you will enjoy for years to come, and Samsung is a great company, great customer service, and high build qualities that last for a decade or more.

Nice monitor. Does not work with counsel xbox series x aspect ratio is 16:9 and monitor is 21:9 leaving big gaps on both sides for it to display properly.

The monitor looks good when it works. The button press control "stalk" is a pain in the butt, and gets in the way of any accessories (Tobii eye tracker, etc) due to placement. But the biggest issue is that it consistently refuses to power back on when the pc comes out of sleep mode. I have to physically unplug the power source to get it to power up. Rebooting the computer does nothing. It did not do this initially (purchased in October 2024), but is doing it more and more. I have had an open ticket for more than 6 months. Support is polite, but not effective. I am not waiting for a call from a service rep who according to the support rep is likely going to tell me to ship it to them so they can fix it then ship it back. This is a non-starter, I work from home and cannot be without a monitor. With an issue this on-going, I would have expected more significant action (cross ship replacement, etc), but this is not an option for the Samsung Support reps. At this point, I cannot recommend Samsung monitors and will be looking to replace with another brand I have had good luck with (Acer, Asus, etc).

Update: After being told 2 times my device was out of warranty after only 7 months and being required to prove my purchase 2 times, I was told you expect a call arranging a home repair visit on one of three preferred days I had provided. Instead, I received a phone call asking to pay $329 for an "out of warranty" repair. After proving my purchase was in warranty a 3rd time, and bring disconnected twice, I was told that I would have to ship them the monitor for 2 to 3 weeks as they don't offer in home repair on Monitors of this size (34 inches). As the current owner of a Samsung TV, range and laundry appliances i can say unequivocally that they will never see another of my dollars. Service is horrendous. Don't buy this monitor or any of their other products.

Looks pretty good. Dark Blacks, Yellows look OK. No weird lines or anything.

Integrated pretty much seamlessly, was replacing my sceptre, same size curve etc.

Will update review later as things progress, just installed it.

There's a like... half inch? quarter inch? gap on the top and sides though.. just black space.

Curve seems a bit weirder than the other 2 i've had, i'll probably have to acclimate.

I'd have done 3 stars but honestly my entire computer is running better with it than my previous sceptre.

Not sure why that is, same resolution... but that's a great sign. Seems like the electronics and whatnot are of high quality as the previous monitor was actually causing PC issues sort of? O.O

Thought it was used or had water damage but the sticky tape on the bottom of the bezel just wasn't really visible, had to really get on the edge to finally peel it.

I'm pretty happy. Hope it lasts a while.

Stand is awkward though, i'm going to have to rig something up or change my setup a bit to fit it.

Blacks are dark dark dark though which is great.

Had to shave away at a shelf to fit the awkward bulb thing in the back. It sticks out right where it curves way more than expected and the stand is kinda meh, puts a ton of pressure on those two awkward prongs so it can tip forward without full support... still have like half an inch off the desk but the stand legs do sit flat so you have a little bit of wiggle room.

Really like this monitor that I got for my kid. I originally thought the curve was going to be a problem but that definitely proved to not be. It's very responsive and easy to setup. The colors needed a bit of calibration that I got from a review site but after that it looked good. The quality seems really good for the price. Refresh rate is pretty high but my kid doesn't have an ultra high end machine so it can't drive it very often to be honest. Over all though it's a great monitor that is cheap and gets the job done.

This was a great addition to our home office. Picture quality is excellent. We use it for work for full view of multiple windows and to expand the view on Excel charts, etc. Easy setup and connection to our laptops. A complete game-changer for our workspace and organization.
