Babyvue BV3PRO Dual Baby Car Camera, 7.2" 1080P Split Screen Monitor

I was so excited to get this product! As of right now, I don’t have a second child, that I would need a second camera for, however, it is great when me and my mom friends go out and we both have our kids with us that way we can make sure that they’re all okay in the back seat, while I’m driving. So that’s what I’m using it for now, also because me and my husband are planning on having a baby sometime in the next year. So I wanted to be able to test it out now with not only my kid, but also since I hang out with my mom friends all the time it makes it so much easier for us, especially when our kids throw stuff in our cars and we can’t find it when we’re trying to reach back there, we can see where it is on the camera because of how expanded the image is so that you can see the surrounding area of your child as well. I bought it with prime and I got it the same day. I can’t say that everybody’s going to have the same experience that I did, but that’s just how it was for me. It was so easy to set up and really straightforward with the whole process. I love the display, but for me because I am pretty short, it’s a little too big for my liking, but I just think I’m not fully used to it yet. But I do like that it is bigger so I can actually see what’s going on with my child, especially when they’re not forward facing at the moment. When it comes to the camera quality, the pictures that I added honestly don’t do it justice because it’s honestly really great. The picture that gets produced onto the screen is really clear and honestly perfect. I also love the view of it, it gives it like a bird eye view so you can actually see your child at a bigger scale and the surrounding area. I also love that the cameras come in a clip instead of those horribly annoying straps that you have to try to hook on to the headrest, especially if your child is facing forward, it gets really annoying when you have a strap in your way, but that’s my personal opinion. So I do like that this clip to the headboards, I think that’s what they’re called. They clip on so easily and they actually tighten as well so they don’t move while you’re driving it forms to the shape of the bar it’s on. I also do like that I can change to either only view one child if I only have one of them in the car, or both children at the same time, or change the brightness as well, depending on the time of day. I wasn’t able to get a picture of it, but I will say the night vision mode is really nice as well. I feel like most brands that I’ve tried out before the night vision was very blurry and kind of stagnant whereas this camera really picks it up and makes it more clear. So for daytime and nighttime I really feel like the color quality is really on point with real life as well. I will say the one thing I don’t like and I wish it was like the other version of this camera I have, I don’t like that it’s a stick-on that you stick to your dash, I prefer if mine sticks up to my window. But it still works really great and it holds on really well when you’re driving as well. Based off everything and the quality of the monitor and the entire system itself, I feel like I am getting my moneys worth with this and that it will last me long.

Our minivan (Honda Odyssey 25) has a built-in camera, but the major downside is that I can't have it on at the same time as the GPS, which is a bit of a design flaw in the van, in my opinion. This camera system turned out to be the perfect workaround.

The split-screen feature is the main reason I got this, and it works well. I have one child who is still rear-facing and an older one who is forward-facing. The 7.2-inch screen is a generous size, and it gives me a clear view of both of them at the same time without me having to take my eyes off the road for more than a glance. The picture quality is surprisingly sharp, both during the day and at night (no glare).

Pros:

The setup was straightforward. The cameras snap directly onto the metal posts of the headrests, which felt secure.

I was able to run the wires under the floor mats, so they are mostly out of sight. The kit also came with some Velcro strips which I used to further secure the cords and keep them tidy.

The dual-view capability is excellent for anyone with more than one child in the back. It provides a lot of peace of mind to be able to see both of them.

Cons:

My only real concern is that the cords could potentially be unplugged by a curious child if they aren't tucked away securely. I made sure to run them where hands/feet can't easily reach, so it hasn't been an issue for me.

While the cord length was just fine for my setup with both car seats in the middle row of my minivan, I could see it being a stretch if you have a larger vehicle and need to install a camera on the back row's headrest. It's something to consider if you have a very large SUV or a third row in use.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this purchase. It solved the specific problem I had with my van's built-in system and makes drives with the kids feel a bit safer.

Super easy to set up and use. Visibility is ok but it can be hard to see sometimes as the screen isn’t quite bright enough on sunny days. The monitor stays on the dash without moving and is durable.

The screen is a nice size and makes it easy to see both kids while driving. The cameras provide a clear picture and the dual-camera setup is especially useful when you have more than one child in the back seat. Easy to use and works well for what it’s designed for.

I do not recoment this item. Does not work as advertised. The monitor is not brigth enough during the day to be able to see the kids in it. The camaras do not work properly during the auto night mode. I hear the clicking of both cameras turning on and off constantly and not been able to see both kids besides that the noise is anoying. (Chicken just for security but you can not see it)

UPDATE: Changing my review from 1 star to 5 stars. The customer service I’ve received from BabyVue since this review has been absolutely phenomenal and I feel like that’s so rare these days. Not only did I get a refund for this order, but they made updates to this monitor that make the camera worth 5 stars now, too. I’ve been using the updated monitor for 4 days now and I can see the screen in direct sunlight and with sunglasses when before I could only see the screen if it were completely overcast or at night. It was just as simple to install as the previous model and looks just as sleek. I have not tested the night vision yet, but I’m hopeful that’s been updated as well. Overall, my experience has been completely turned around and I will recommend this camera and company to anyone who needs a car monitor.

I’ve owned around 3 other camera monitors aside from this one, all “cheaper” than this, yet this is the worst one I’ve used. There is nearly 0 visibility during the day unless it’s overcast. If there’s even a tiny bit of sunshine, you cannot see your kids in the monitor. And, although the night vision works and you can see them when it’s on, it is constantly switching between night vision and normal lighting. Street lights and headlights switch off night vision instantly and it’s extremely frustrating. I am so disappointed with how terrible this camera is because I wanted to love it. It’s super easy to setup and connect, but that’s honestly the least of my concerns when it comes to a monitor.

I’ve attached a photo of how dark the screen is during the day. I have a 4 month old and a 2 year old and I literally cannot see them no matter how I adjust the monitor or the brightness. And if you have sunglasses on, there’s no chance you can see anything. Do not recommend.

I chose the BV3 PRO Baby Car Camera to help keep an eye on my grandchildren when we’re out and about, and I couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

It was very easy to install, and the picture quality is excellent — crystal clear both day and night thanks to the built-in IR night vision. The split-screen feature is perfect for monitoring two kids at once, and the large 7.2” HD monitor is easy to see without being distracting. The screen stays securely in place and doesn’t bounce around while driving.

Being able to see both children in real time has been such a relief, especially during longer drives. This system offers great visibility and reassurance.

The only downside is dealing with the wires. You’ll want to take time to hide them well, especially if you have curious little ones. I do wish it were wireless or Bluetooth-enabled like my backup camera, but that’s a small trade-off considering the quality and functionality.

Overall, this is a great product and I highly recommend it to parents, grandparents, and even pet owners who want an easy and effective way to keep their loved ones safe and in view while on the road.

Long cables and clear picture but the night mode sensor is either hit or miss. At night I’m a dark road with no other cars around, the night mode won’t engage/activate. And same for day time, the night mode won’t turn off. Or the night sensor for one camera will work and the other won’t and then they will take turns working and not working. Very annoying. I’ve triple checked the cables and plugs, camera lenses.
